Matthew Evetts - Director
Matthew is experienced in both the private and public sector and across all Avantgate's work areas.
He has a degree in psychology and English which has proved extremely useful for interacting with a range of people and organisations, developing business processes, training material, websites, and branding.
His work experience is varied – the most recent being with the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) as a Senior Advisor and then a Senior Analyst; and running Avantgate.
While running Avantgate Matthew has researched business, management, and internet services and how this knowledge can be applied to assist other organisations.
During 2007 he volunteered for The Joshua Foundation in Tanzania as their IT Manager. This included troubleshooting networks, servers, and personal computing; developing policies and proposals, and implementing new IT solutions.
Kim Crosland - Senior Business Consultant
Kim has 17 years experience in the Tertiary Sector in both England and New Zealand.
Having gained her tertiary teaching qualification at Portsmouth University and experience in teaching and assessing, Kim went on to develop strengths in business and contract management for private providers in England.
After arriving in New Zealand in 2002, she started her three year role as an Advisor in the Central Auckland office of the Tertiary Education Commission. This gave her a deep understanding of the tertiary sector, and provided her with valuable perspective after working in the sector itself.
She then went on to manage a private tertiary provider in Auckland. She successfully steered the provider through tough changes in the tertiary environment and was involved at a sector level through tertiary provider representative groups.
Kim has a natural instinct to support, educate and assist people to enable them to make informed decisions; and to work more efficiently and effectively. Her experience in advisor and management roles, and her unique personality and skills, make her an extremely valuable business consultant for any type of organization.
